Re: Battleship

There's another thing we did.  Fly kites.  We also made them from time to time.  I had some very peaceful times in the fields to the south, where the105 freeway is now, laying in the grass watching my kite straight overhead.

Now I remember the tetherball tied to the street sign.    If you look on Google Earth, street view, you will see that they moved the sign post across the street near what used to be the Slagel's house.  I guess they figured there was too much wear and tear on the Magdaleno corner :-)
