Dave described the market as pretty upscale. I can't verify the date of your original post of the Palos Verdes trip. My guess is late 90s early 2000s.

When we got home, we calculated that we had traveled about 40 miles. I don't think we took any patches or tools with us. I guess we just trusted to luck. It was a lot of fun, but we never did it again. I do remember a few rides to Hermosa beach with Larry and Danny Leftault, around 1956. Not fun riding home with sand in your trunks.(:-)
